It’s been a long 25-year journey for Daniel who has tired different skating styles and terrains over the years. Freestyle is the end result, ”It’s just how my skating and I developed over the years.” He went on to say that he has been influenced by Robert Wagner and Tony Gale who taught him quite a few things.

Originally from the small town of Sangerhausen in eastern Germany Daniel spent time years ago in London as an An Au Pair. A what? I had to look it up on the internet too and found that young adults from foreign counties work as domestic assistants while living and working for a host family in another country in exchange for room and board. He loved London when he worked there and moved back, that’s when he met his girlfriend and decided to stay for good. He works at LEGO now, “Best Job In The WORLD.”

When he is not skateboarding, he also enjoys photography, hiking, painting, cooking, reading, model railways, and playing music. He used to play in a couple of bands but hasn’t been on a stage in 7 years. “I record a lot of solo stuff these days, but only for fun.” As for building model railways, “It’s something I can put my energy and creativity into during the cold winter months.” His primary interest isn’t in the trains or technical part…, he just likes creating and modeling landscapes and scenery.

He is excited to be going back to the World Round-Up to be a part of this fun event. “I can hardly wait to have my mind blown away by all the skateboarding that is going down.”
