Freestyle Skating is my passion, and has been since I was 12 years old skating in my home of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I liked the technical aspect of skating and the freedom it gave me. Later when I became quite proficient I started the Lucio Flavio Skate School the first of its kind in Brazil. Freestyle has always been a way for me to travel, to meet friends, to explore new possibilities in the sport. I have been able to travel to Europe twice and compete at Paderborn, Germany Contest both in 1989 and 1991, and in France in 1989. But the trip I will never forget was being able to compete at the TransWorld Skateboard Championships at EXPO 86 in Vancouver, Canada. Through out the years I have done TV interviews, demos, skating in the Disney Parade in 2010 and 2012 in Rio de Janeiro and have placed 1st in more than 20 freestyle contests here in Brazil from 1980 to 2010. There is something very special about freestyle that connects people, families and skaters, in a way that continues to Inspire me. In 2016 I immigrated to Canada and now call Vancouver my home and am very proud to be representing Canada this year at the World Round-Up. I am looking forward to competing and skating with my friends and seeing one of my mentors, Russ Howell. I am currently attending Langara College taking music studies. My other interests are Drumming and Percussion. My favourite music style is rock, from progressive, heavy metal, hard core, to punk rock. I also like soul, jazz, fusion, and classical music. I’m an enthusiastic athlete, into surf, judo and jujitsu disciplines. I have also been a volunteer for the past 18 years, helping to serve others in the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ and feel very happy with the transformation that God has provided. I’m blessed to be married to my wonderful wife Roxanne. RECENT CONTEST HISTORY:
