Each year we recognize those skates who devote their lives to mentor and help promote freestyle skateboarding, thus becoming ambassadors of our sport. Past recipients of this award include: Lillis Akesson, AJ Kohn, Russ Howell, Masahiro and Toshiaki Fujii, Christian Heise and Dr. Skateboard Bill Robertson.

On behalf of Lyle Chippeway, we are honoured to present the Ambassadors of Freestyle Award this year to Alexandre “Brownzinho” Mendes from Brazil.
