Diego Verdaguer

Diego grew up watching Rodney Mullen videos, as well as videos of Killian Martin, Ricky Carrasco, Kevin Harris, and Primo Desiderio, who he considers his mentors. His love of skating has led to him being able to make a living from it. Although he has never competed in a freestyle contest, he did place 1st in the Highest Ollie event at a local contest.

Diego attended the Institute of Technology of the Americas to study cinematography. He became a filmmaker and enjoyed editing and helping out the local skateboard community. Diego also makes a living as an outdoor extreme Sports Coach and teaches over 1,000 kids a week how to skateboard at Camp Play UCA. He is also the president of Santo Domingo Skate, the national skateboard association, which supports all types of skating. Unfortunately, there aren’t many freestyle skaters in Santo Domingo, just Diego, and a couple of other guys. His love of music and filmmaking has inspired him to film several concerts and bands. In his spare time, he loves to play his Bass Guitar.
